After all the smack-talk and big-mouthing I got about how nothing compares to Oklahoma... I must say I'm very pleased to have successfully convinced two cowboys to join me in the "big city."  My darling fiance' once again shares a room with his twin brother.  In the "big city." Muhaha. ;)

Besides having family in town, the best part of these two being together is their incredible musical gifting and talent.  Combined they have been playing music for 38 years, and it all began with teaching themselves piano.  In an effort to really make a living by playing music, The Other Twin (aka: Daniel) has set up a nice little facebook page.   Please don't like it "just because."  Listen to them and see what you think.  If you like - or dareisay love! - the sounds you hear, let them know!  Share their video or like their page or even send them a message.

They are available and eager to teach lessons as well as play for weddings.  In the "big city." ;)

(They had never heard "Clocks" by Coldplay.  In an hour they were playing this:)

(Caleb still hasn't heard "I'm Yours."  But he can play it.  They are freaks of nature.  In the "big city.")

Maybe I have to give Oklahoma some credit for raising these tall, gorgeous, disciplined, creative men after all.  Maybe they were right: maybe nothing compares to Oklahoma.

  6. They are freaks of nature. I'm not losing my mind, Caleb is playing the viola, right? I miss mine, it's weeping silently in the closet as it hears me listen to this on the computer. They are so good!

(^^^like the semi-colon in there? totally meant to do that. :D)

Caleb and Daniel are my new heroes. I was literally bursting with joy when I heard them play... literally. I'm not joking. Like, seriously, my entire being was just shaking with happiness! If I'm half as good as them one day I'll will die a happy... person! Actually that's a lie. I NEED TO BE AS GOOD AS THEM!!!! SOMEDAY IN THE VERY FAR-OFF FUTURE!!! Please pass my hardy applause and sincerest thanks for just.... that. That stuff that was on those videos.

You said they want to teach?

    Oh. NO.

I'm never going to get another violin student for as long as I live with them around. Everyone will pick them :)

Haha, who knew there was so much competition in violin teaching? :D

Anyway. Thanks for posting those, Kristen. They made my night. And my tomorrow. And my week... etc. :D

  19. Wow. Isn't it sad that people find leaving rude comments on other blogs "fun"?? I'm thinking maybe you should stop allowing anonymous comments. Maybe that would help, if you have that option?? I would be willing to bet that those leaving these hateful comments are the very same people who are in church three times a week, talking the talk but definitely not walking the walk. So sad.

  21. And I don't know Jen. I don't know at all.

"If anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also...You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you: love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven.

For if you love only those who love you, what reward do you have?"

Anonymous slaps on the cheek and mild-barely-nothing persecution is a good reminder to pray and to love. It's so easy to love and be blessed by the people who love me (and Caleb... regardless of our hair-cuts or outfits!) but in their own way, the anonymous commenters paint for me - in beautiful colors - the love God has for His confused, messy, silly family. He loves His children - He loves me, and Caleb, and the Morris Family, and the commenters. I pray the commenters can unite with us in love, mercy, grace and joy. That they would be a source of encouragement, gentleness and patience. I pray that for myself when I come across people who do things differently than I do.

Thank you for even caring enough to leave a comment and to build-me up. It means more than you know!
